In Florida, you do not need a high school diploma or GED to take the CNA exam if you are 18 or older. If you are 16 or 17, you must have a high school diploma or GED. All students must be able to read, write, and understand English independently. Out-of-State Students If you live outside Florida, you can:​ Travel to Florida to attend the skills lab in person and take your test in Florida if you wish. This is a hybrid online course with an in-person skills review and check-off (3 days).
